Hey Jimron,
Just checking in on the status of the PSPS. Chief Vasquez is telling me that everywhere is back on except Red Bluff and up along 36 near the Lassen Park HQ. I’m working from home in Corning today, and it’s been good, not windy anymore, but I’m itching to get back to the office. I hate that Pandemic feeling, you know what I mean? Just reminds me that Gavin’s still in Sac.
Please give me an estimated time for re-powering in Red Bluff and in Mineral when you have the knowledge, I want to keep folks up to date on how much gas they’ll need for their generators.
Anyway, hope you and the family are well, I heard you had a third get into Stanford, you think this one’s actually gonna stay out here on this coast?
Best,
Xavier

Administrator Banion,
The estimated time of repowering for Mineral-Lassen Headquarters is about 6:30 tonight.
The estimated time of repowering for Red Bluff is TBD.
The latest has her sights set on New York, not sure there’s much even her mother could do about that.
My very best,
Jimron

Jimron,
Please call me first thing tomorrow on Red Bluff. Sheriff Hencratt is gonna have my hide if you folks make him blow his hard-earned surplus pouring diesel into the generators at the jail. Is it still windy up there or something? It’s been three days.
Best,
Xavier

Jimron,
I’m up in Red Bluff at the jail with the Sheriff. I’m emailing you from my phone over the whine of the generator, it sounds like your one assistant every time my hand even thought about pulling out my flag when your boys had the football on the march. Apparently we’re burning up a couple hundred an hour. I don’t need to remind you this isn’t a place that can afford to waste much. The quicker you can get me an estimate the better. I’ve ordered them to turn off the AC for now, but conditions won’t stay cool for long. We’ve got 43 inmates in there, and I can get the DA to bond out about 20, but there are some actual time-servers, and my guard shifts. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Best,
Xavier

Six deputies per shift, plus my clerical and culinary in the daytime. Not much we can do without lights. I can pitch tents but not for winter or if the rains come. Please advise.

SHERIFF

Administrator Banion and Sheriff Hencratt,
I will advise at the earliest I know for a time to repower Red Bluff. I am told our crews are investigating the lines. They should be done by this afternoon.
Please know that Mineral-Lassen Headquarters has been repowered.
My very best,
Jimron

Sheriff Hencratt and Administrator Banion,
In our investigation of the lines, it was determined that a section of line of about 873’ was blown over along Highway 36 near the Ishi Camp. Had the line been powered, it would have started a fire. We will be in touch with Red Bluff about repairs.
Sincerely,
Tim Gallardo

Administrator Banion,
Pursuant to the 1923 agreement between the CIty of Red Bluff and Western States Gas and Electric, the City of Red Bluff is responsible for these lines. We will be in touch with Mayor Donald and City Manager Nielsen about this issue and associated costs.
Sincerely,
Tim Gallardo
